TYPE B (Series A,AB) Pad Printing and Screen Printing Ink

CHARACTERISTICS

Type B is suitable for screen and pad printing.

Ink Type:

2-component high gloss ink
Chemical drying

Printing Media:

polyethylene (bottles), polypropylene
nylon, rigid PVC
Aluminum, (anodized and brushed), other metals after testing

Properties:

-This ink shows an exceptionally high adhesion on the mentioned printing material
-High chemical and spacing material resistance
-High gloss

IMPORTANT NOTES:

- Complete resistance will be obtained after 3 - 4 days.
- Not resistant to acetone
- PE, PP-bottles: While overprinting do not flame pre-treat

DRYING

Air drying: room temperature 50 - 60 minutes dust dry
Kiln dried: temperature approx. 140 - 160 F., 2½ - 3 minutes
(good cooling zone and exhauster required)
For fast printing speeds, principally for bottle printing, we recommend our color type S, which is adapted to the special drying requirements.

3 - 4 days

ADDITIVES

Hardener: 700001 for ink
Mixture of hardener and ink: 1 : 4
700003 for recoating
Mixture of hardener and lacquer: 1 : 2
Hardener (700001) can be used for recoating in the field of package printing

Thinner: 200000 standard thinner (principally for pad printing)
700035 med. thinner
735024 fast thinner
700081 jet thinner
All thinner can be mixed in any proportion. The thinner 700035 also can be used as a cleaner.

Retarder: 200002 retarder
700042 active retarder
If using 200002 only, there may be a decrease of
gloss and adhesion. We recommend the use of 2-3% 700042 when printing fine lines and text.

Cleaner: 700093 universal cleaner

Overprint 812042 A-lacquer
Varnish: Mixture of lacquer and hardener (700003): 2 : 1

POT LIFE

Room temperature: 6 - 12 hours depending on color shades
Hardener (700003) can reduce pot life, high humidity and heat
will also reduce pot life.

STORAGE
Inks: for unopened original packs there is a storage
stability of 1 - 2 years.
Hardener: for unopened original packs there is a storage
stability of 1 year.
Hardener has to be kept under cool conditions and must be protected
from excessive humidity.

COLORS

1 - 29 according to universal color chart
silver, gold and fluorescent inks of the type 266
