BAMAROK is a collection of pics and information about obscure rock groups from the late 60's, 70's and 80's (or later, or earlier) from Alabama or with Alabama ties. This site covers old Alabama groups featuring some of the finest road bands, such as WARM from Albertville, Alabama, down to some of the shittiest garage bands you never heard of.

WE NEED YOUR PICTURES... if you have any of the existing groups here, please email them so we can add them. Or, if you have any pics of groups not yet covered here, please send them so we can add your group to this collection. Don't worry if, when thinking back, you realize that your favorite band from the old days may have sucked- we don't give a damn. It's all about the history.

PLEASE SEND PHOTOS via email, in .jpg format, to: sales@prismflex.com

And yet another Southeastern Attractions brochure from the 70s
Great old pictures of members of Warm, Humbug and Dogwood.
An old poster from Richards in Atlanta, the greatest rock&roll venue in the U.S. for a couple of years in the 70's. The right column lists WARM with Spirit and with Robin Trower on another date. Dogwood is listed in the left column with Navasota. There's a few other well-known or soon to be well-known groups listed as well.
Great old poster from 1971 featuring Dogwood, Black Mountain, Buttermilk and Hydra
Poster from 1979 featuring SPICE from University of North Alabama

THE BOO McAFEE QUIZ SECTION
CAN YOU GUESS WHO WROTE THE SCINTILLATING PROSE TO THE LEFT?

CLUES: 1. The author is a musician who played with one of north Alabama's most famous bands at one time and is originally from Sand Mountain...2. Written at Diamond Jim's Warehouse around 1974 possibly over a few tastes of the grapes.......3. His favorite pet was the "dying dog" 4. The author later became a successful painter and no it's not PICASSO.........

PLEASE SEND YOUR GUESS TO sales@prismflex.com- if you are the winner, we will post your name and pic on this website. You will also be given immunity from the posting of any naked pictures of your wife which BAMAROK may possess.

AND THE WINNER IS: the infamous Allen "Rufus" Rubley, soundman extraordinaire for the groups WARM and Clear. His correct answer was: bassman Allen Breland from Albertville, AL, of the Suspended Animation, WARM, Clear, the Downtown Horns and others too numerous to mention while conscious.
